Road trippin'

Here are my lovely pictures from my lovely road trip with Phil and Max.

This is at the Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

We had both beautiful weather. And rainy crappy weather.

Me and my PINK umbrella at the Blarney Castle, Co. Cork.
We kissed the stone, and got the gift of the gap! :)
Phils blue umbrella broke, and didn't really keep him dry.. Hihi.

In the Rock Gardens we found the Wishing Steps,
that you had to walk down
and back up again with your eyes closed.
Note that we had to walk backwards back up them.

Driving around the country like this, Phil introduced us to GeoCashing.
Which is a very interesting way of travelling around,
and as soon as I get the chance, I will start doing it too.

You find these hidden cashes in special places all around the world, guided by your GPS and the maps you've downloaded. Really cool. The cashes can be of different sizes, and contain different bits and pieces that people leave in them. You can also use trackable items, and you can see where these items end up in the world. Check out the website at www.geocashing.com

Moving on.

Cork was ok, but we really fell in love with Killarney. And after a little hike around town, trying to find an Off License, and some Chinese food, we found our place at the Grand and their live band.

After a good nights sleep at the Neptunes Hostel...

...we had breakfast in the gorgeous Killarney National Park in Co. Kerry.
In spite of the little rain fall we had during breakfast, we had a loevly morning, and continued our trip around the Ring of Kerry.

We stopped at Staigue Fort, Co. Kerry.
And found the lovely stone fort surrounded by sheep.
Max really wanted a picture with the sheep for his auntie,
but he just seemed to scare them away...!

My beautiful emerald isle...

And the trip ended, after a lovely dinner in Killarney again, in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, at the Morrisey pub.
One of the oldest pubs in ireland, which used to be a grocery store, and where the bartenders still wear the white coat of the shop assistant.
