Roller Coaster
I think my mind is running in circles
inside my head. I think my mind is turning
flips and cartwheels, tumbling through
somersaults time and time again.
Like the crazy roller coaster that opened
last spring. You remember that? My mind
is spinning and twisting all over the place
and it always ends up where it started.
It wouldn't be so bad, if only that point
wasn't you. If only everything didn't start
with you, I think I might be okay. But
everything starts, and ends, with you.
Always.
One of these days it's gonna make me sick,
like that roller coaster never did. I might
hurl from the loops and drops, or I might just
go insane from always finishing where I began.
